Have you ever tried DSW Shoe Warehouse? They have name-brand shoes, sometimes at very good prices. I've also had good luck with Famous Footwear. Oh, and Nordstrom Rack in Sugarhouse has great deals. I've usually heard it about women, but I'm sure it applies to men as well. I actually remember seeing something on TV where some maitre'd at one of those fancy restaurants that only let the "right kind of people" in said that if someone tries to get in without a reservation, he looks at their shoes, and he bases his decision on what kind of footwear they've got on. I would dearly love to spend more money on shoes, just as I would dearly love to spend more money on clothes. Unfortunately, being a stay at home mom means not having a good excuse for splurging on things like that.
